And Then Everything Changed

They didn't understand.

They simply couldn't comprehend the magnitude of his words.

Or his actions.

It wasn't that they didn't believe, they just didn't grasp the changes that were to come. There was no way to see that in the space of three days the world would be turned upside down, all the rules broken, and the greatest battle of all time won.

They didn't know.

And today, some still don't know.

Some don't care.

Some snicker.

Some laugh.

Some get angry.

But it doesn't matter.

Because it's finished.

The day He walked out of that tomb and spoke to Mary Magdalene and the other women, to Peter, to the men on the road to Emmaus, to the disciples, to Thomas (the doubter), to the seven disciples at the Sea of Galilee, to the five hundred, to James and to those who witnessed His ascension. The day He rose from the dead, it was finished.

Say what you will.

Believe what you may.

But this truth stands firm across the arms of time; Jesus is alive!

He is risen!

He is risen indeed!

And yet the story isn't finished...

Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7

Come Lord Jesus, Come.
