It's cold.
Really cold.
Like 11 degrees cold.
Frozen dog water cold.
Frozen flower cold.
Frozen pipes from the well-house cold.
Which means, of course, that we haven't any water. If there isn't any water you can't:
shower
wash dishes
wash laundry
wash anything
I'm thankful there isn't any snow to accompany this bitter, biting cold. That would just be the cherry on the sundae wouldn't it? After last years winter snow, I think I'll be very content with a wet and rainy Christmas. Sounds like bliss to me.
We have power too, which is a dandy thing! I have a limited supply of firewood and I'm saving it for an emergency. Like for when we have no power.
Note to self: put in more firewood next year.
I'm hopeful that this cold snap will soon pass.
Otherwise I may need to fly south for the winter.

I'm sorry you don't have running water but I'm sitting here at -9 degrees!!!! Good luck with the water.
