Trapped

Eighteen inches have fallen with snow continuing. We're trapped with no way out. The specter of boredom hangs heavily upon us all and I fear that the children may go mad. I find myself muttering continually as I stare out the window, "When will this madness end?"

I never thought I'd pray for rain. LOL!

Christmas is nearly upon us and I wonder what sort of day it will be. We've been invited to dinner with friends, but all things hinge upon the weather. I've taken a prime rib from the freezer...just in case. There are a few more things I would like to purchase for the stockings, not to mention we are nearly out of bread, eggs, milk, and dog food. I think Girl is having withdrawls from Starbucks and Boy hasn't spent this much time at home since before he left for the internship.

We've baked cookies, made soup, played board games, and watched movies. Books are being read, poems & songs written, cross-stitched worked, yet we all long for a break in the weather.

Whose warmer? This was taken yesterday

Icicle, also taken yesterday

Taken this morning. If you scroll down to yesterday's post you'll see the difference in snow depth today

Our jaunt to the barn to feed the cows. Once again,
Beloved broke the path for me

OH MY GOODNESS! I can hear the boredom moving in. I'm sorry for you, but I'm sure it will all work out fine.

Have a Merry Christmas.

There just aren't enough board games when you're snowed in.

I know. The novelty of spending the day indoors grows old fast. At least you can escape to cyberspace every now and then. :)

Merry Christmas!

Blessings,
Susan :)

That is so beautiful but I know you must be going stir crazy! It finally got cold here - low 30s at night - so I had to pull out my winter clothes LOL
