Dance the Night Away

Saturday we went to the Luis Palau Festival on the waterfront. It was so crowded! Later I learned why: There were 110,000 people there! Wow!

It was a beautiful evening

With all sorts of funky folks

This guy, the one in the yellow shirt, he was totally grooving the entire time. I mean jumping, dancing, yelling. Wow. He was totally into it and his daughter was right there with him.

You can't see the screen, but that was Toby Mac and crew jammin' up there.

I was glad for the family opportunity but learned a shocking truth about my daughter... she doesn't dance.

How did this happen?

We danced with her as a baby, a toddler, and Beloved took her to several Renaissance dances. How can it be that my baby girl doesn't groove? She took ballet, plays the piano, and lives in a home filled with all types of music?

Where oh where did I go wrong?

Aside from the fact that Miss C doesn't get down with Toby Mac and Hawk Nelson, it was a really fun night. I am treasuring these times with our youngest child. I know from experience that she'll be out the door to college before I know it. In fact, she'll turn sweet 16 next week.

Where did the time go?

Maybe I'll buy her dancing lessons for her birthday...

Maybe it just wasn't her type of music. Perhaps classical (as in ballet, Renaissance) is more her taste.

Blessings,
Susan :)

What a great night! Don't tell me Miss C didn't jiggle or clap or anything... Or, in the case of my oldest daughter, she had to be the responsible adult when I was rockin' out:0)

My kids dance any chance they get. Sadly they inherited my dancing genes. Ever seen the famous Elaine dance on Seinfeld? She stole those moves from me.
