I have no grandparents alive on either side . .. but I sure do want my children to know them.

I am glad you went to see her. She has an interesting past . . I hope you write that down and pass it on to your grandchildren - it is an interesting heritage.

KatAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30452539.post-70930131280522332872008-04-22T15:26:00.000-07:002008-04-22T15:26:00.000-07:00Your Omi is lucky to have you, and I'm glad you al...Your Omi is lucky to have you, and I'm glad you all got to go on that visit. She is about the same age as Omi. It makes me realize that I need to take a "road trip" myself.

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful story! The Sweet Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08209120459898052140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30452539.post-77247821852998228412008-04-22T07:15:00.000-07:002008-04-22T07:15:00.000-07:00I'm glad you got to go... in spite of the long dri...I'm glad you got to go... in spite of the long drive.
TeriTJ Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06140694185848604747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30452539.post-78290007178632038452008-04-21T21:45:00.000-07:002008-04-21T21:45:00.000-07:00Oops -- instructions for the E award:You can right...Oops -- instructions for the E award:
You can right click on the award image and save it to your computer then upload it to your blog as an image. The story about your Omi reminds me so much of my dad. He too was Roman Catholic, but gave it up when he married my mom (she was the daughter of a Methodist preacher). After she died, he went to a Baptist Church with an outreach program. He's been gone 12 years, but I know he made it to Heaven!

Oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you -- I was awarded the E for Excellent blog award while I was traveling. I've chosen you as one of the blogs I want to pass the award on to. I love your blog and always enjoy reading whatever you have to say! Come on over to my site and grab the award to post on your blog if you're interested.Kivahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01171025882133782540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30452539.post-16713334555564808642008-04-21T14:33:00.000-07:002008-04-21T14:33:00.000-07:00we call The German "omi", and i love the line abou...we call The German "omi", and i love the line about how she's trying to get to heaven. perfect way to say it.

i read your entry a few back about how you woke up and considered getting a real job. man, did that thwack a nerve in me!Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05716215892504806470noreply@blogger.com
